13.03. AT 18.00 GUEST TALK BY GIacomo palaAT ETH HONGGERBERG HIB E 15 OR ZOOM LINK ID: 676 6962 1587
CYCLE 25
The lecture starts from the concept of transformation both to problematize some historical concepts in regard to the evolution of architecture and to discuss design as a re-composition of heterogeneous instances: thinking architecture as a conjunctive practice between differences.
Giacomo Pala is an architect, designer, and scholar. He works as a research associate at the Institute of Architectural Theory at the faculty of Architecture at the University of Innsbruck, where he investigates the concept of syncretism theoretically and historically, as well as through teaching design workshops, projects and exhibitions. He has previously held workshops at various institutions, including Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok (2020), collaborated with various studios, and tested his hypotheses through projects, publications, book chapters, installations, and exhibitions in Vienna, Venice, Innsbruck, Vezprem, and elsewhere.
